Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing support: could label their portraits with descriptive noun phrases rather than writing a description in full sentences.
Pupils working at greater depth: should enhance their initial portrait description by including additional features using an English-Spanish dictionary; could find and use additional colours or adjectives to describe their portrait’s facial features, applying their knowledge of adjectival agreement to generate the correct form.
