Pupils needing extra support

Could be provided with the Activity: DIY Design brief (fill the gap) and criteria; could work in pairs when writing the design brief; could use slide 6 to provide pre-highlighted words in Aria’s letter and discuss them as a class; could determine the design brief and problem with the rest of the class. 

Pupils working at greater depth

Should explain why they highlighted specific keywords in the letter; should write the design brief from scratch without additional support; could support their peers when finished; should justify how points 3 and 6 of the design criteria would be helpful to an Adventure Awaits Co. customer going on a trek.
