Lesson plan
Explain the game numéro secret which helps remind the children about numbers 10-12.
Think of a number between 1-12 and ask the children to guess what the number is. Say:
J’ai un numéro secret entre un et douze. C'est quel numéro ? - I’ve got [I'm thinking of] a secret number between one and twelve. What's the number?
The children guess using the format:
C'est ... [number word, for example, quatre]
Use hand gestures for plus haut (higher) and plus bas (lower) until the children guess the correct answer.
Ask a volunteer to take over with their own new secret number.
If the children are confident, arrange them in pairs or small groups and let them play the game in their groups.
