To begin to understand the risks of smoking and the benefits of being a non smoker
Pupils should know:
- The facts about legal and illegal harmful substances and associated risks, including smoking, alcohol use and drug-taking.
Pupils needing extra support: Should focus just on the benefits of being a Someone who does not smoke.. They might also need more support if they have a member of their A unit of people joined together by blood, marriage, or other means including adoption or a close social bond… who smokes.
Pupils working at greater depth: Give the opportunity to think in more detail about how they might try and persuade someone to give up smoking. Make sure they understand that people probably know the long term health risks and therefore there might be other things which would To have an effect on someone’s decision making. them more for example the money they would save.
