Lesson plan
Display the Presentation: Find a shape and describe. This shows many different shapes in various colours and sizes. The object is for the children to recall the shape, colour and size words and to describe a shape using the following structure:
C'est un + size + shape + colour
For example, C'est un petit triangle rouge - It's a little red triangle.
Structure this part of the lesson in the way that is most appropriate for your class. You might, for example, ask the children to work in teams to work out some descriptions and then after a few minutes you invite each team to deliver their descriptions to the class pointing to the shapes they are describing. Alternatively you might select individual children to describe a shape. Some of your children may be able to add more complex words like énorme and miniscule - enormous and minute. Other children may only manage to identify a shape or a colour or a size.
