Lesson plan
Before or at the start of this lesson, you may want to recap with the children what nouns and adjectives are in English.
Use the Presentation: Shapes and colours to remind the children how to describe a simple shape (circle, square, rectangle, triangle) using a colour adjective (red, green, yellow, blue). You are checking that the children have remembered not only the vocabulary but also the position of the adjective. The colour adjective comes after the noun. You will not have taught this explicitly but the children will have been aware of this from the previous lesson. Resist trying to explain adjectival position at this stage.
