Lesson plan
This lesson and unit build on knowledge and concepts introduced in this lesson:
- Wellbeing, Year 1: Give, Lesson 2: Sharing.
Provide the children with a whiteboard and pen (one each). Ask the children to divide their whiteboard in half. One one side of the whiteboard, invite the children to write a definition of what the word 'sharing' means. On the other side of the whiteboard, ask the children to draw illustrations or write words of three different things that they feel comfortable sharing with others. Discuss the definitions together to create a shared class definition. Invite the children to discuss in small groups the things that they wrote down that they are happy to share with others.
Ask the groups to reflect on the question below and feed their opinion back to the class.
