Children at the expected level of development will:
- Know some similarities and differences between things in the past and now, drawing on their experiences and what has been read in class.

Support and challenge
Adults can use the opportunity to discuss and/or support with:
- Encouraging the children to listen to the labels being read out on an audio playback device to remind them of the chronological order.
- Providing the children with the Activity: My life’s timeline (extension) and challenge them to draw and/or write their ideas in the boxes.
