Before starting this unit, you might want to check that the children can recall:

  • Some of the different ways of communicating online.

  • The internet can affect people's feelings and moods.

  • Permission should be received from others before sharing anything about them online.

  • Some of the methods used to encourage people to buy things online.

  • Privacy settings limit who can access important information such as names, ages, locations, etc.
