Before starting this unit, you might want to check that the children can recall that:
Varying effects can be created using only your voice, e.g. by changing the pitch, dynamic or tempo of the sounds made.
Simple pictures or symbols can be used to represent the structure (organisation) of music.
Human voices have their own individual timbre and this can be adapted by using the voice in different ways.
