Lesson plan
What comes next?
Arrange the children into pairs. Say the word Tengo... - I have...
Challenge the children to discuss as many ideas as possible in their pairs for what might come next. This could include different numbers of items from their school bag from the previous unit (Tengo una botella de agua, tengo dos reglas).
Take feedback on different ideas. Some children may recall that tengo is also used to introduce the phrase about age:
Tengo cinco años - I am five years old.
