Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support

Could work in a supported group, answering using just a couple of prepositions to begin with,  for example, dans – in, sur – on, and then adding more prepositions as they become more confident.

 

Pupils working at greater depth

Should challenge to extend their sentences to use two contrasting prepositions, for example, le livre est sur le bureau mais la lampe est derrière le lit – the book is on the desk but the lamp is behind the bed.
