Adults could provide support by:

• Offering a short scarf for children to hold between themselves and the next child.
• Modelling one way to move the hoop if the group becomes stuck.
• Completing the challenge in a smaller group first.
• Allowing children to move the hoop around or alongside their body rather than through it.
• Showing the Resource: Picture prompts to remind the children what to do if something is tricky.
• Asking the children to help by passing the hoop, suggesting an idea, encouraging the group or watching before joining in.
