1. Recap and recall

As this is the first unit in Key stage 1, there is no knowledge to recap with the children. In EYFS (Reception), pupils learnt to:

  • Describe their immediate environment using knowledge from observation, discussion, stories, non-fiction texts and maps.

  • Draw information from a simple map.
