Lesson plan
Organise the children into pairs or table groups. Explain that they are going to look at a set of pictures and they have to think of a sentence to describe the number of brothers and sisters. The sentence must begin: J'ai... or Je n'ai pas... - I have or I do not have.
Show slide 1 and the first picture. Give the children time to come up with a sentence. Circulate to prompt and assess and then ask for answers. There could be variations on the answer so it will be interesting to see what the children have come up with. Show slide 2 to check the answers.
Repeat the exercise with the remaining slides (3 - 8).
