Lesson 1: Wonderful weather

As this is the first unit in Key stage 1, there is no knowledge to recap with the children.

• In EYFS (Reception), the pupils learnt to describe what they see, hear and feel outside so revisit this with the following task.

Display the Presentation: Odd one out. Play a short sample of the three audio files and ask the children to talk to their partners about which sound is the odd one out and why. (Audio three is the odd one out because it is birdsong whereas audio one and two are types of weather.)
