After learning all about the Japanese festival of Hanami, children immerse themselves in spring blossom trees to come up with descriptive vocabulary to describe what they can see, smell hear and feel

Pupils needing extra support: Could be given the Activity: Descriptive words resource to select appropriate words from.

 

Pupils working at greater depth: Could be asked to repeat the exercise, imagining that it is winter and all the blossom has fallen from the trees. What words would they use then?
