This lesson and unit build on knowledge and concepts introduced in this lesson:
Wellbeing, Year 5, Discover, Lesson 6: Growth mindset.
Provide each child with a whiteboard and a pen and ask them to divide their whiteboard into two halves by drawing a vertical line down the centre. Ask the children to label the left hand side as 'Growth' and the right hand side 'Fixed.'
Display slide 1 of the Presentation: Brain dump and ask the children to write down any key words or examples of the differences between a growth or fixed mindset within the correct area of their whiteboard.
Display slide 2 of the Presentation: Brain dump and ask the children to check their answers with those on the slide, volunteering any additional ideas they had to the rest of the group.
