- I can recall examples of light sources and luminous objects (such as light bulbs, the Sun and glow sticks) and those that are non-luminous (such as shiny diamonds, mirrors and road signs).
- I can describe ways to protect my eyes from harm, including not looking directly at the Sun and other bright light sources, wearing sunglasses and wearing brimmed sunhats.
- I can recall that darkness is the absence of light and that we need some light to be able to see.
