1. Recap and recall

As this is the first unit in Key stage 1, there is no knowledge to recap with the children.

In EYFS (Reception), the children learnt to log in and out of a computer, which is revisited in this unit.

Cat is an independent consultant and former primary school teacher with 12 years of teaching experience.

She has a passion for coding and computer science and specialises in supporting teachers who are getting started on their journey into using technology in the classroom. She has been invited to speak about her experiences teaching computer science around the world including in Brazil, Argentina and the US. Cat is passionate about talking about equality, stereotypes and mental health as well as supporting the teaching of computer science. She has recently been diagnosed with ADHD, which has made everything make a lot more sense.
