Lesson plan
This lesson and unit build on knowledge and concepts introduced in this lesson:
- Wellbeing, EYFS, Give, Lesson 1: Kind words.
Ensure the children are in partners and provide them with a whiteboard and pen each. Provide the children with a given time limit (for example, two minutes) to draw a picture of what kindness looks like to them, including one word underneath their picture. When the time has elapsed they are to explain their illustration and the word they have wrote to their partner.
Example prompts for illustrations could include:
Something kind thing they have done for someone else today.
A time when they helped someone feel better.
A way they could show kindness to a friend or family member.
A way they could be kind to themselves.
