Lesson plan
Begin this exercise by seeing if the class can recall the numbers 1-6 in French.
Once you are happy that they have remembered the numbers, get the class to chant the numbers in sequence forwards and then backwards.
Then play Fizz-buzz:
1. The children stand in a circle in the classroom and you go round the circle with the first person saying, un - one, the second person saying, deux - two, and so on. Once you have reached six- six, the next person starts again with un - one.
2. Round two: this time if the number is an even number, the children must say fizz. The round will look like this: un - one, fizz, trois - three, fizz, cinq - five, fizz, un - one etc.
3. Round three: this time if the number is odd, the children must say buzz. The round will look like this: buzz, deux - two, buzz, quatre - four, buzz, six - six, buzz.
