Support and challenge

Adults can use the opportunity to:

  • Provide children with larger items like big beads or large pom-poms which are easier to pick up and place.
  • Challenge children to create patterns using multiple materials.
  • Ask the children what the rangoli patterns remind them of, what shapes they can see and why they think they are so colourful.
