Before starting this unit, you might want to check the children can recall that:
- In Spanish, hello is ¡Hola! and goodbye is adiós. (See Spanish, Year 3, Spanish greetings with puppets.)
- The words ¡Hola! and adiós contain the key phonemes 'o' and 'a' (see Pupil phonics videos if practice is required).
