Fairytales: Sound patterns
Please note
This unit uses fairytales to introduce children to the concept of sound patterns (rhythms). They explore clapping along to repeated words and phrases, creating rhythmic patterns to tell a familiar fairytale. This unit replaces the Year 1 unit Timbre and rhythmic patterns (Theme: Fairytales), which is permanently available in our archive but is no longer updated in line with curriculum or website developments.
For the most up-to-date information about our music scheme, please refer to the document Music: Long-term plan.
