Adaptive teaching
Adults could give support by:
- Revisiting the Resource: Feelings cards from Lesson 1: Identifying my feelings or the feelings jars display from Lesson 2: Feelings jars to help the children identify the characters’ feelings.
- Using the Resource: Amira and Jayden story pictures to help children recall and retell the story in the adult-led task.
- Using the Resource: Coping strategies as a visual prompt during the adult-led task. This could also be displayed in the classroom to support children choosing coping strategies if they feel big emotions during the week.
