Before starting this unit, you might want to check that the children can recall:
- The use of indefinite articles un and una.
That an adjective must agree in gender and number with the noun it describes.
- The vocabulary of hair and facial features (see Spanish, Year 5, Spanish portraits.)
Predict and recall vocabulary
Display the Presentation: Describing hair and faces and hand out the whiteboards and pens. In pairs, ask the children to predict words and phrases that could describe each of the four people featured on the slide. Invite the children to record their ideas on their whiteboards.
