Observations

Can the children:

  • Suggest a kind way to solve a sharing problem?
  • Wait their turn?
  • Take turns?
  • Use kind words when asking for a turn?

Adaptive teaching

Adults could give support by:

  • Reading the Resource: Social story to children who find sharing difficult, either before, during or after the lesson.
  • Providing sand timers during continuous provision to support waiting and turn-taking.
  • Displaying the Resource: Sharing during continuous provision as a visual reminder of turn-taking strategies.
