Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support:
- Could work in pairs to play one note of the chord each to focus on sounding the notes together at the correct time.
- Could remove notes from the glockenspiel to leave only the notes needed to help identify the correct notes more easily.
Pupils working at greater depth:
- Should add simple rhythms to their chords while staying in time with the backing track (see Teacher knowledge).
- Should internalise the chord sequence by remembering the pattern without visual support.
