Lesson plan
Ask the children to work in their table groups to think of eight French musical instrument words and create a sentence for each to say:
I play [and the name of the instrument] - Je joue [du/de la][instrument]
The instruments that the children have come across are:
Circulate round the classroom to listen and help with pronunciation and to check on the use of de la and du.
Invite each group to give a suggestion using the following format:
Tu joues d'un instrument ? - Do you play an instrument?
Oui, je joue [de la/du] [instrument] - Yes, I play the [instrument].
