Lesson plan
Before starting this unit, you might want to check that children can recall:
- The verbs llamarse - to call oneself, tener - to have and vivir - to live, jugar - to play, lanzar - to throw, hacer - to do or make.
- How to conjugate the verbs llamarse - to call oneself, tener - to have and vivir - to live in the first three persons.
That all Spanish infinitive verbs end in either 'ar', 'er' or 'ir'.
Recalling verbs
Display the Presentation: Recalling verbs and ask the children the meaning of the three verbs llamarse - to call oneself, tener - to have and vivir - to live. Remind the children that they learnt these in the unit Spanish Year 5: Describing friends and family in Spanishand clarify that the infinitive form of the verb is its 'to' form.
