Before starting this unit you might want to check children can recall:
Changes within a piece of music can be explained using musical vocabulary.
They can explain the timbre, dynamic, and textural details of a piece of music, both verbally and through movement.
That they can discuss using musical vocabulary (related to the inter-related dimensions of music) improvements to their own and others’ work.
That music often has more than one instrument being played at a time.
