Before starting this unit, you may want to check that children can recall:
- The names of colours (see French, Year 3, French adjectives of colour, size and shape).
- That adjectives can change depending on what they are describing (see French, Year 4, Portraits - describing in French).
- Where adjectives should be positioned within a sentence (see French, Year 5, French monster pets and French, Year 4, French, Year 4, Clothes – getting dressed in France).

Vocabulary definitions
Belinda has been a French and Spanish teacher based in Bath for more than 15 years.
