Je vais à l'école et je porte ... - I'm going to school and I'm wearing...
Seat the children in a circle if possible and play a version of the game, I went out to dinner.
You start with the phrase, for example,
Je vais à l'école et je porte un manteau vert - I'm going to school and I'm wearing a green coat
Choose a child in the circle to follow. The whole class repeats what you have said and then the child adds their own item, for example:
Je vais à l'école et je porte un manteau vert et un pantalon orange - I'm going to school and I'm wearing a green coat and orange trousers
Continue round the circle with the whole class repeating what went before and one more thing being added. See how long a string the children can remember.
