1. Recap and recall
This activity revisits learning from the whole unit of Art and design, Year 3, Painting and mixed media: Exploring texture with paint and collage to help the children recall key knowledge.
Hand out the children's sketchbooks and ask them to look back at the work they created when studying Romare Bearden.
Pair the children. Ask them to discuss the following questions, pointing to examples in their artwork:
