1. Recap and recall

Before starting this unit, you might want to check that children can recall:

  • The names of different colours in Spanish.

  • The third person singular of the verbs tener - to have (tienes) and ser - to be (es - it/he/she is)
  • Adjective endings can change, normally to agree with the gender of the noun it describes. For example: a small dog is un perro pequeño, but a small cow is una vaca pequeña.
  • The meaning of the question ¿Quién es? - Who is it?
  • The vocabulary for family members in Spanish.
