Lesson plan
Use the Resource: Classroom item flash cards to hold up one of the pictures, with the caption covered, and invite the children to silently mouth the name of the item in Spanish, including un or una.
Ask them to keep repeating it silently, to help prompt everyone in the class to recall. When you can see that some or most of the children are repeating the word they can start to whisper it, gradually becoming louder until everyone is saying the correct item, before revealing the caption.
Repeat with a series of other cards. Retain the cards to use later in the lesson and throughout this unit.
