Unit outcomes
Pupils who are secure will be able to:
- Produce a range of free-standing frame structures of different shapes and sizes.
- Design a pavilion that is strong, stable and aesthetically pleasing.
- Select appropriate materials and construction techniques to create a stable, free-standing frame structure.
- Select appropriate materials and techniques to add cladding to their pavilion.

- A selection of Toothpicks
- A4 card ×30
- Materials for making the frame: matchsticks, lolly sticks, toothpicks, straws, card, pipe cleaners, card triangles etc
- Glue gun Adult supervision required - hot surface. ×1
- Tape ×1
- Craft materials for cladding: tracing paper, card, sweet wrappers, leaves, crepe paper, fabrics, newspaper, wool, string, etc.
