Pupils should be taught to:
- Play and perform in solo and ensemble contexts, using their voices and playing musical instruments with increasing accuracy, fluency, control and expression
- Listen with attention to detail and recall sounds with increasing aural memory
- Use and understand staff and other musical notations
Differentiation
Pupils needing extra support: Can play the lead part as this has been practised the most.
Pupils working at greater depth: Can play one of the harmony parts. Could act as a leader for one of the other parts to help other children know when to start and stop playing.
