Pupils needing extra support: Will need the language of the lesson (fruit/veg names and what they are looking for) reinforced through repetition.

 

Pupils working at greater depth: Should be allowed to examine the foods in more detail , perhaps with a magnifying glass. They may be encouraged to start naming other parts of the fruits and vegetables, for example, stem, leaves, root.
