Explain why people use different names for God and show respect for the different names for God across religions.
Lesson 5 suggests arranging a visit to a local Christian, Hindu or Muslim place of worship so that the children can look for different representations of God. Alternatively, you could invite a visitor to come and speak to the children about their beliefs about how they represent and refer to God.
There is an option to ask parents and carers to send in the meaning of their child’s name or why they chose this name to share with the class in Lesson 6.
