Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support
Could use the Resource: Knowledge organiser: Describing friends and family in Spanish (from the unit, Spanish Year 5 describing friends and family in Spanish) throughout the lesson for guidance on first, second and third person forms of common verbs; should use the Activity: Find someone who: support version in the main event; could answer using sí or no rather than using a whole sentence in the Main event.
Pupils working at greater depth
Should answer all questions in the Main event in a full sentence; should ask questions without using any prompts; could extend their responses in the Main event by using the conjunction pero– but and saying which sport they do practise.
