Lesson 5: Rock and Roll performance

By the end of the lesson the class will perform ‘Rock Around the Clock’ together, with pupils taking on different roles and instruments

  • To be able to play a rock and roll piece of music

  • Use and understand staff and other musical notations.
  • Play and perform in solo and ensemble contexts, using their voices and playing musical instruments with increasing accuracy, fluency, control and expression.
  • Listen with attention to detail and recall sounds with increasing aural memory.
