Health and prevention:
- Pupils should know: the importance of sufficient good quality sleep for good health and that a lack of sleep can affect weight, mood and ability to learn
Pupils needing extra support: Might need to look at the Activity: Bedroom image to help discuss what they might find in their rooms at home, as well as how these things can help them get a good night’s sleep.
Pupils working at greater depth: Should articulate the effects of getting a good night’s sleep vs a bad night’s sleep and relate that to their own experiences, e.g. feeling moody, low on energy, unable to concentrate vs happy, full of energy, alert.
