Lesson plan
Use coloured shapes of different sizes from the Activity: Coloured shapes (as used in Lessons 2 and 3) for this exercise.
Hold up a large red triangle and ask:
C'est un petit cercle bleu ? - Is it a little blue circle?
Model the response:
Non! C'est un grand triangle rouge. - No! It's a big red triangle.
Repeat the exercise, holding up a small yellow square, and ask:
C'est un grand cercle vert ? - Is it a big green circle?
Encourage one of the children to respond:
Non ! C'est un petit carré jaune. - No! It's a little yellow square.
Repeat the exercise several times using the structure:
C'est + un + size (grand/petit) + shape (cercle/carré/triangle/rectangle) + colour (rouge, bleu, vert, jaune)
