Differentiation

Pupils needing extra support: Could be supported by a TA or more confident partner for the note naming activity.  They should use the Sheet music: Vamos, let’s go! – tuned percussion part 1 in the performing activity as it is slightly easier than part 2*.

Pupils working at greater depth: Challenge them to move on to decoding the note names in Sheet music: Vamos, let’s go! – tuned percussion part 2. In the performing activity, these pupils can be expected to play this percussion part too.

*You will notice that we have named the more challenging part, part 2. This is  in case your pupils were beginning to guess that they were always being given the ‘easy’ part, and worrying about not being as ‘good’ as the other children!
