Differentiation
Pupils needing extra support: can use fewer classroom items. Instead of the ‘Tu as..?’ question, they can simply say the item name and answer ‘oui’ or ‘non’ to say if they have it or not. can be challenged to independently construct their own sentences using the conjunctions ‘et’ and ‘mais’ using intonation to communicate meaning.
Pupils working at greater depth: can be challenged to independently construct their own sentences using the conjunctions ‘et’ (and) and ‘mais’ (but) using intonation to communicate meaning.
Wrapping up
During the week
- Find excuses during the day to ask children for different items you need.
- Have the mini cards available for use at break or other appropriate times. Encourage the children to design their own rules for new games and share them.
- Don’t forget to keep practising your numbers – can you and the class count down from 12 to be ready? (It’s not so easy backwards!)
