Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support
Could draw pictures of objects they can see and hear for task one; could go on an ‘outdoor senses hunt’ to find examples of things they can touch, taste, smell, see and hear, taking the Ressource: Knowledge organiser: Science – Sensitive bodies with them for reference.
Pupils working at greater depth
Could draw pictures to represent their own ideas and write about what is happening for task one (e.g. I smell my mum’s perfume and it makes me feel happy; I see the green man and I cross the road; I hear a dog growl and move away).
