- To play a walking bass line on tuned percussion
Pupils should be taught to:
- Play and perform in solo and ensemble contexts, using their voices and playing musical instruments with increasing accuracy, fluency, control and expression.
- Listen with attention to detail and recall sounds with increasing aural memory.
Pupils needing extra support: Could play the simplified walking bassline instead. Place coloured sticky dots on the relevant notes to create a visual reminder of which notes to play.
Pupils working at greater depth: Should play the whole of both sections without notation in time with the music.
