Pupils needing extra support

Could read their role play scripts aloud when performing rather than using it as a guide; could, if using a video recording device, pause the recording after each sentence and practise the sentence aloud before pressing record again.

Pupils working at greater depth

Should memorise their lines when performing their role plays; should perform with natural-sounding intonation and accurate pronunciation; should support their partner or group if they get stuck or go wrong, for example, by prompting them with the correct words or pointing at the next city and weather symbol on the map for a visual clue.
